A 4D result looks busy at first, but it follows one simple layout. Here is how to read it and check a ticket without mistakes.
Check a ticket in four steps
- Find the operator and the draw date on your ticket.
- Open the result for that exact date.
- Compare your four digits with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes.
- If there is no match, check the starter and consolation numbers.
What each group means
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are single numbers. In the main Malaysian and Singapore games, starters and consolations are two groups of ten numbers each, giving 23 winning numbers per draw. Read the official rules of your operator.
Common mistakes
The most common errors are checking the wrong date, reading digits in the wrong order and forgetting the consolation group. Always confirm a win with the official operator.
